1. General provisions
- This Privacy Policy defines how we process information relating to users of the Budget Planner Plus web service (the "Service").
- The Service is provided via a browser, including the option to install it on a device as a PWA.
- By using the Service, registering, signing in, paying, or creating or uploading data, the User confirms that they have read this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
- This Policy applies to all information that the Service Provider may obtain about the User in connection with the use of the Service.
2. What data may be processed
- When using the Service, the following data may be processed:
- the User's email address;
- data entered by the User manually, including budgets, categories, plans, expenses, settings and other user data;
- backup data if the User uses save and restore features;
- information on access status to the Service, including trial period, payment, access validity and selected plan;
- technical information automatically transmitted when using the Service, including browser and device data, request date and time, and other information necessary for the Service to operate and for security.
- As a general rule, user data is stored locally in the browser on the User's device.
- If the User uses cloud features of the Service, including cloud backups, the relevant data may be stored and processed on the Service's server infrastructure.
- When using voice input, some data may be processed by the browser, operating system or other technical platforms on the User's device. The Service Provider does not fully control how such data is processed by those parties.
3. What data the Service Provider does not process
- The Service Provider does not receive or store the User's full payment card data, including card number, expiry date, CVC/CVV code or other card details.
- Payment is handled by third-party payment services. The Service Provider may only receive information needed to record payment and provide access to the Service, including payment status, amount, currency, and transaction identifier.
4. Purposes of data processing
- User data is processed for the following purposes:
- providing access to the Service and its functionality;
- registration, authentication and identification of the User;
- sending one-time codes and other service notifications needed to sign in, confirm actions or delete an account;
- providing a trial period, recording paid access and processing payment status;
- creating, storing, displaying, restoring and deleting user data and backups;
- handling User requests to support;
- ensuring security, stability and improvement of the Service;
- complying with applicable law.
5. Legal basis for processing
- Data is processed in connection with the User's use of the Service, performance of the Offer terms, provision of the Service's functionality, and on the basis of the User's consent where required.
- If processing of certain data is necessary to use the Service, failure to provide it may result in full or partial unavailability of the relevant functionality.
6. Disclosure of data to third parties
- The Service Provider does not sell Users' personal data or disclose it to third parties for their own marketing use.
- Data may be disclosed or made available to third parties to the extent necessary for the Service to operate, in particular:
- payment partners and payment providers - for processing payments;
- email and other technical services - for sending codes, notifications and service messages;
- hosting providers, data centres and other technical contractors - for hosting and operating server infrastructure;
- public authorities and other authorised bodies - where required by law.
- The Service Provider may engage third parties to process User data for the operation of the Service, provided they comply with applicable law and data protection measures.
7. Data retention
- Data is processed and retained for as long as necessary to achieve the processing purposes, provide the Service, perform the Service Provider's obligations, and comply with the law.
- Locally stored data is kept in the browser and on the User's device within limits that depend on device settings, browser and the User's actions.
- Cloud backups, if used by the User, are stored on the Service side in the scope and for the period determined by the Service's functionality.
- The Service Provider does not guarantee indefinite retention of any User data, including backups, and recommends that Users create and keep their own backups of important data.
8. Account and data deletion
- The User may request account deletion using the procedure provided in the Service.
- When an account is deleted, User data is deleted and/or anonymised to the extent and in the manner determined by the Service's technical design, functionality and applicable law.
- After account deletion, access to the Service and account-related data may be terminated without the possibility of recovery, except where retention of certain information is required by law, to protect the Service Provider's rights, prevent abuse or meet mandatory requirements.
9. Data security
- The Service Provider takes reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect User data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, destruction or other misuse.
- The User understands and agrees that transmitting data over the internet and storing data in the browser, on the User's device or on server infrastructure cannot be considered completely secure.
- The Service Provider does not guarantee absolute security of data and is not liable for unauthorised access to data if such access was due to circumstances beyond the Service Provider's control, third-party actions, network, software or hardware failures, or the User's own actions.
10. User rights
- The User may:
- obtain information about the processing of their data;
- change and delete data within the Service's available functionality;
- use export, backup and account deletion features where provided by the Service;
- contact the Service Provider about data processing.
- The User is responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide and for the lawfulness of placing it in the Service.
11. Changes to the Policy
- The Service Provider may change this Policy at any time without prior notice to the User.
- A new version of the Policy takes effect when it is posted in the Service or on the official website, unless another effective date is specified.
- The User must check for the current version of the Policy. Continued use of the Service after a change means the User agrees to the new version.
